there's no deadline. last times we just collect about 10 tracks and open the voting. so if u gonna participate we'll wait for u. (not endless tho)
Well knowing my workflow and efficiency ratio, I'd say I have about 3 weeks to a month to go before I finish my tchoon..that cool? If not then oh well, I'll leave the bottom of the chart to someone else.

ive done voting now, liek virus says mixed bag this time around, i wasnt impressed man, not saying my skills are superior or nothing, but some of them were of a quite low standard, something i didnt expect seeing how the previous ones have turned out
It probably means the site been growing. More ppl here submitting tunes. New ppl who need nice feedback on their tunes. Ppl who maybe havent produced for that long time. Its a good thing If we get more ppl battles will get better and better in time.
As long as everyone get constructive feedback its awesome.

Hey guys, I'm sure one of the not so good tracks was mine... seeing as this is the first track I've ever finished. I'm hoping I can use this site to get some feedback and go from there. I'll vote on all tracks but given my current lack of technical skills I'm not sure how much help I can be? I'll at least give it a shot though

Well, the whole point of this things is to get good advice so as long as people are suggesting solutions where there are problems, I dont think anyone can have issues with whatever is said. And err..apologies in advance if I slated your tunes :lol:I have benefited loads from this compo and I'm sure you will too.

IM PISSED OFF, Crank u ask me on msn what pissed off means and u use it against me, why didnt u have a word with me on msn instead of manking me look a prick on here, im sorry but imo i wasnt feeling the tune, mastering was good but imo that was all, beats were 2 skippy for the style of tune its chillout with skippy drums :? it doesnt work the bass wasnt in sync with beats imo aswell, i dont have 2 give u a good rating because ur crank i have 2 give a rating for what i think of the tune so next time if u have a prob with me sort on msn! ok.

yeah congrats synergy! im sure you will cook up some eviler sounds with the tips i threw you . in retrospec the version of hell i uploaded was muddy. it was version 4. mastering on version 7 was great, in it you can hear the melody and i practically did away with the noisy drums, lol. but i dont like it cause i sidechained the bass to the snare and it cut the bass's volume too drastically it pulses in a bad way, plus, now i know for sure that my drums rhythym were whak. not very danceable at all. when ive listend to the track all ive done is jump up, and go nuts. maybe one day i will redo the drums with some amen madeness, i think they would go well with the track, but this was a hardware+software track and I did not sample, so its a huge mess to set it up again. Im pretty sure I would have to delete all the fx for audio latency issues, strip it down to midi, and re record in some new drums. then bring back all the fx's and mix it all back. the hardes part is done, it just looks like a lot of tedius details, and ideas for new stuff just keep comming, what i need is an engineer
I always give crank high rates cause he is just perfect in vibe with what I like. Mix that with nice producing and mastering = +8 rating.

I wanted to say thankyou to everyone for voting for my track, and especially for all the great feedback. I knew before I uploaded it that it still needed some work, but that was the whole point, to get the feedback. I'm surpised and super stoked that it won, and y'all really made my day.
I hope my comments didn't rub anyone the wrong way, I'm new to the site and didn't realize the purpose was more for constructive criticism than anything else, so next time around I will make an effort to be more specific.
