i think i've gotten all the main elements sorted, now just a bit of fuckery with sub bassline and drumfills/edits. i'm more pleased with this little piece of filth than any before it

I'm glad you guys have been stalling.  I've been re-uploading updates almost every day!!

I'm a mixdown whore..  I gotta stop this.. I do these raw sessions where I start with the drums, bring up the basses, bring up the leads, etc, until it's all perfect, make a couple small tweaks here and there.. and I'm thrilled....

....Then I listen to it 2 days later and bang my head on my desk.  *bonk*

Does anyone else go through this with their mixdowns?  I feel like I spend more than triple my arrangment time mixing my tracks over and over and over.  Final result?  I'm never happy with it.  Ever.  Most of the time I just give up after a while, and that's when I call it 'finished'...  My own worst critic I guess..

Anyway, hope you guys finish up soon, I can't wait to hear what I'm up against.

yeah, I hear the pc trouble.  Mine does this thing once in a while, where I'm just sitting there, working on a tune or something, maybe just checking my email, whatever, and POOF!, the computer up and restarts itself.  For no reason.  *sigh*

Last month my pc was doing the same thing....it was a bad virus. Being a cheap bastard  i didnt have virus protection,had to reinstall windows,lost all my files in the process....viruses/spyware sucks

unlucky bluntman and cottonmouth m8 that happened to me but i bounced back anyway im upped so one less to worry about lets hope this round is as good as the last one was goodluck everyone!

i put mine up yesterday but im reuploading now so just gimme half hour or something if your gonna close it crank mate, need to get the mastered version up, cheers

This is one phat compo...A good selection of tunes so far and I'm not even halfway through yet.

I've voted on them all now, and that was tough the standard is really high.  Its refreshing to hear so many different styles.  I almost feel guilty for subjecting people to my tune now!

I'm about halfway through my judging.  As you all I know I'm an intense reviewer, so I'm gonna need to take a break for a night and finish tommorrow or soon thereafter.

What I felt compelled to say NOW, was that there are 3 or 4 tracks in this competition that in my personal opinion set a whole new level for this competition.  I can't wait to find out who wrote them so I can start begging for permission to play them out and such.  :whore:

so yeah.  once again I'm shocked, in a good way, but I mean it this time more than ever.  These few tracks are in their own league.  The rest of the tracks are still really good, and up to the ever growing standards of this website, but there's those few that I would gladly buy when (not if) they get released commercially.  It's like that.

it was furious & fierce for awhile, but after the speaker stacks were finally silent (and smoking), my pick came down to a select few...

This was the hardest to score comp so far due to the number of tracks.  I've gone over my reviews and scoring 3 times to make sure its fairly representative.  A wide but even spread of abilites and styles in this one, with a few serious contendors for top spot.

done, good luck everyone. u will have to excuse my shit mastering on my tune, i did it b4 i got my new soundcard and was restricted in many ways, so i wasnt happy with it at all. the non mastered version was better really , the bass was a lot better on that but i thought i might be the only one not putting a mastered version up.

Wow havent been here for awhile nice to see the site still running adn growing even. Hopefully I can join for next BOTB. We had a BOTB at spinwarp also not long ago and Ive been really busy with school and producing something for that botb. To bad I didnt check this site during that time could have send the track here also. Well its not a very good track anyways but would be nice to get feedback on it anyway. Might post it after that BOTB ends with votes and everything.
