Damn...everyone voted so quick in this one, lol. I've listened to all the tracks only a few times so far and haven't had a chance to write anything yet. I'll be voting either later this evening or tomorrow, so hang in there.

I FINALLY, FINALLY, FINALLY kicked my writer's block and got a tune I'm happy with pretty much finished. I haven't officially mixed it down or decided that it's ready for that yet, but it's the first pretty much finished tune I've had in MONTHS, and it feels good. Can't wait for the next comp to hear what you guys have to say about it.

I was quite confused when I saw all of the comments left, and the grades left, but my standing was 5/8, and I realized it's because one member voted the bottom tracks with like 3/10, 2/10, which has incredible weight when there is only a few people, and gives thier own track a much higher weight in the competition. While I really like the idea of this site, and it is purely for fun, the actual application of voting can really skew the results I think. While I didn't expect my track to win, I was perhaps a little disturbed with the grades being based on subjectivity rather than analysis of production, and also, that if someone didn't like the track stylistically, they would give it a 2 or a 3.
I think the voting would be more effective if we arranged the tracks by preference or something similar. That way there would only be one standard of voting. Some people think what some people voted a 9 should be a 7, and some people think that a 3 vote should be more like a 5 or 6.Just a suggestion.

WOOHOO! <dances a little victory jig>-Awesome, thx alot guys, and for the feedback/critiques. Close one - barely beat out the ruffneck. Now to finish the fucking song i've been at for the last month and a half (started it after i finished this 'non-locality' track). Gawd damn it takes me too long to get something i'm happy about!-Anyhow, for those that wondered, i took the vocal sample from the special features of 'suspect 0', there's some professor talking about this awesome metaphysical theory called - heheh - non-locality:"Things which appear to be separate are in fact not separate, and the connections that occurr between the objects transcend both space and time."Pitched it down, added a hair of reverb and some delay, and a ring modulator. I love movie samples, as you lot may know by now Taking my own, recognizing them when i see them, etc. I watch waaay too many movies...-So crank, when you gonna update the top ten warrior stats? or were they unaffected?
