dark. nice work man. like the rhythm the drums are playing. bass is good too. you could make the snare harsher sounding to the point of almost grating for some added atmosphere. this track progresses well, enough space for everything in the mix to sit well.

nice laidback intro

oh here comes the drums!

yeah this is nice

bassline drop!! good work mate like the vibe

maybe not the whistle so much it stands out too much in the mix, but that bassline is great.

nice pads in the background, very summery Smiling

probably too much reverb on that snare in the breakdown. but it ends nicely, some eq on the piano to give it some clarity also. but i like this tune man, good work.

ok some dot points for you:

interesting style

the vocals work well, good to hear something different like this in dnb!

think the production on the drums lacks a bit, vocal processing is good, and a good vocal hook.

nice bassline, keeps the track running at a nice pace.

part just before main breakdown is good, more of this elsewhere would be good.

synths sound good. nice incidental and atmospheric noises.

good quick intro. drums a bit too reverby. need to be more upfront for that impact when they come in. good break though.

synth coming is good, nice vibe. strings/pads in background good.

once all the parts are up and running its good man. some variation in the synth more would stop it becoming monotonous. the drum patterns chaging are good and work well.

after the breakdown i like it more, nice funkyish synth work. techsteppy but not? cool work.

not as loud as some of the otehr tracks but i'll ignore that.

some nice vocals throughout the tune. good laidback vibe going on with this one, all the sounds fit well. and a good structure too.

wait to sleep by robad pills: like that machine like loop

Submitted by mabus on Mon, 2006-07-10 14:05.

like that machine like loop at the beginning. really something different here! hard to describe this one! youve really got your own sound keep it up bro. short and sweet, gets to the point. cool

Global Threat by Vex: nice synth sounds in the

nice synth sounds in the intro

good work on the breaks, sometimes a bit predictable but still good

i like it more as it goes along. nice dark feel. structure is good. reeces sounding good.

does get a bit samey after a while, but a good vibe still. you could do some weird processing on a few of those vocal samples to mix it up a bit. mess with peoples head more!!

no tommorow by dj obscure: good production on this one

Submitted by mabus on Mon, 2006-07-10 13:16.

good production on this one from the very start.
lots of power in this one! nice work.
not my fav. genre of dnb but it fits the mould well, drums are sounding great. the bassline could do with some separation from the drums, it sounds like it is getting lost in the mix.

the pitching up of the break gets repetitive after a while, maybe not do it so often. i do like how near the end youre putting some reverb on them. huuuugee!

late nite rinse!

huge pendul-snare! this track is cool imo. lots of attitude. will probably piss some people off though. make that hi hat vary some more in what its playing instead of getting louder and softer. maybe say late night rinse a few different ways or have different effects of it.

the second synth you add doesnt really work i'm afraid. but i still like the attitude this tune has.

Freak Show by DJ Shiver: nice production work. dont

nice production work.
dont really like that synth lead. but it is different from most other dnb leads! the half time stuff is cool too like how you switch between the two. the drums are well written and produced. but i just cant get to like that lead Sad

the extra breaks underneath in the second part of the track make me like the track more.

dot points:

good structure, different parts are easily distinguishable

not really my style but i'll try to be as unbiased as possible

drums need more eq, but they are cutting through well

the breakdown thing is almost gabba like! thats interesting at least, didnt expect it, a good contrast there

a few different layers on your main synthline would add some interest too.
