Ooh, quite a High Contrast

Ooh, quite a High Contrast feel to this one. Maybe that arp synth is a tad too loud...just waiting for it to drop to see. Yeah...it is. Drums need to be brought a bit further up in the mix, too.

This is another case of production problems faulting an otherwise awesome tune. I can definately hear the potential this track has, esp. with the chord changes in the synth/bass and the way they play off each other, but the track as a whole just sounds a bit stunted because the drums're too quiet, the arp is too loud, and there's not enough bass to the whole mix.

Don't mean to sound negative; I find it much easier to criticise tracks I really like.

Oh, and it was too short Sticking out tongue. Maybe another section (poss. in the middle) with some rising strings chords (with a bit of attack on them) and variation in the main arp synth would've brought a proper sense of catharsis to the track.

Still, all that aside, I like it. A lot. Damn good track!

209 - Human Race - This

209 - Human Race - This track has a lot of promise but doesn't quite deliver just yet.  Musically its got a lot going for it, but the mix and arrangment need some work.  The drums are slightly on the light side and the synths are maybe too dominant, lovely though they are.  Its also a little on the short side, making it seem half finished.  No problem with anything in it so far but with a bit more work this could be a really great track.

Track 209 – First of

Track 209 – First of all, this one is only 3 minutes, so I’ve gotta dock a few points there. The one synth gets really annoying very fast. The synth layering is decent tho. The percussion is WAY in the back tho. Percussion needs to be upfront in dancemusic genres. Pay attention to the space, and try to get it to sound like it’s right in the middle of the picture. Sounds like it’s standing behind the bass with the synths on either side of the bass. You’ve got huge potential bruv. Just finish it up and work on the technique. Ez! 6

major shock value with that

major shock value with that synth!!!!... scared the arse off me (my systems turn ALL the way up...well it 'was') Sticking out tongue

this is nice...but mixdown needs work, that synth is too dominating...drums are to low... harder hittin snares (just layer a fat one on top, and pitch it til it blends) then turn up the kick a lil so it can be felt a bit more.....bass is fine tho

break is a bit muddy and

break is a bit muddy and weak, nice synth line but it is hot in the mids. i would build starting from fewer elements to the first breakdown instead of dropping the break and synth at once from the start. there are definitely some nice elements working together here, but alot more eq/mixdown work is needed. nice harmonies happening. the cymbal crashes in the background definitely wear on the ears after awhile, harsh... breaks need some variation/fills. i feel potential here, but damn and it ended at 3 minutes!

Too technoish for me , not really my type of vibe, really dont hear any bass in this, you need more bass. May alittle more bass and u might have something, keep at it.

I don't know what this tune is all about! I don't no if this tune is suposed to be a remix of Papau New Guinea. It sounds like a complete copy of the High contrast remix of Papau New Guinea and for that reason I am giving this tune a 1 for being totally un-original!
