first thing I have to say

first thing I have to say is, it's a rare thing in this competition to hear string arrangements, and not only did you do it, but you did it very well here.  I don't know if you sequenced them or sampled them, but they sound real nice.

stylistically this is one of my favorites.  The mix could have been better.  What's happening is:

The drums are too loud.  Maybe too much top end on the snare, not enough low end on it.  hard to tell on these speakers.  I just know a lot of the tune is getting lost behind the main drums.
The bass isn't loud enough for starters, but more specifically: the sub is okay to the drums, but there's no mid and possibly too much high.
The pads/atmospheres in the section leading to the break are definitely lost until the drums are completely gone.

That being said, this is still one of my favorites, but there are a couple of other tunes in this round of competition that I think were essentially FLAWLESS productions, but know that it's only up against that standard that you're not my winner.

Into the darkness we go,dark & nasty synthy intro. Nice hard hitting beat, some heavy bass action going on here, its a shame, i wish i could make a tune like this, it takes alot of skill for something like this to be made. Anywayz, this tune is abit slower than what im use to in DnB, but still a stomper. Nicely done

Really enjoyed the intro,

Really enjoyed the intro, got wicked strings in there.  Good the way the reesey stuff builds up as well.  Reese is grimey btw!
Like the kinda slow style beats, only thing I could spot is maybe a little more top end on them to make them snap would be good.
Production is real good throughout the tune.  The breakdown is well chilled, those strings are excellent.
Quality tune man

this sounds kinda Ruff Eye-wink

feelin this intro, at last a tune to my taste, lol! flowin fx, jus the way it shud be lol...I lyk the way bass slowly creeps in too...not sure on wher the trak landed tho, isn't defined enuf, blends to much into the intro... lykin the calyx'y feelin break..U need to put alot of mid bak into that bass, it makes the trak sound too empty.

thats all thats needed...i lyk this, big potential again, jus need to fix the bass...

here my winner, easily slaps the others iv herd!

seriously up for a collab, over summer!!! Myspazz me if interested, lol

Liked the pad work.  Some

Liked the pad work.  Some of the squelchy filtering in the intro was a bit random for me though.  Liking the vibe a lot man.  Like a mashup of photek (atmos), chase and status (beats) and teebee (bass).

I think that’s a fucking big compliment lol.  Excellent compositional skills.  I reckon you need to carry on refining your engineering though.  Nothing that sticks out.. you are clearly competent.  But I think if your engineering stepped up a notch or too you’d get this signed.  Sorry I can’t be more specific.. beats definitely could hit more.  This track is definitely a potential winner.  Well done!  I think I would by this.

212 - Nice atmospheres, tasty filtering on the reece, good arrangement.  Mix was okay, nothing to complain about really.   The breakdown at the end was interesting.  Possibly room for a bit more going on in the track in places.

ok so i found the track

ok so i found the track doesnt have much movement or flow, well produced but missing vital elements which could make this a fucking stomper of a track... first of all nice fucking reese action, very nice has a great low end to it, secondly i dont think this break suits the reese it needs ghost hits and a different structure completely imho more of a neuro break than a dark step sound i also found that it gets quite repetitive.

very nice track, but i feel with more work this could be sick!!

Ohh this sounds very nice

Ohh this sounds very nice indeed, lovely intro strings, nice pad/synth. Feeling the bass sound, wheres the eerie space film sample? would fit perfectly on that intro. Drums are pretty nice, Bline is nice, sounds better when its rolling more. Pretty fat track, I thought it got a it monotonous though with that same bline. Bigups
