first track lissened. shit. dont believe that there will be better ones in that contest Laughing out loud. ok will see.
shit. i like it.
2step beat, congoish ghosts, nice reverb on drums, heavy metal riffs, bond 007 vibe some times, clear balanced mix, action movie theme, pro production.

i think some hollywood action would benefit from it !

Starts off very promising,

Starts off very promising, Elusive synths break a moaning softsynthline, which in turn with the hats rolls around a industrial wasteground. A sticky mash of dirty bass in the undergrowth...teases and wants to let rip. The beats roll around tormenting and lets the bass introduce properly at a Low HP Frequency and slams into a massive unstable..ready to pop lead bassline. Cranking, contorting and twisting this track grabs every part of the brain and replaces it with a new introductory sound. Constantly developing beat. Theres a few parts to this track that i feel need a little tweaking though, as much as my head smashed every wall in my house. The track ends too abruptly, it needs a randevous with the original synth from the start of the track...this bad-boy needs to settle ya know?

evil! Evil it does not sound like cheesee evil at all. and that sound that starts at 44: is great. kind of sound like its saying "holla if you hear me" the buildup back into the groove is good. nice transitions marked by the cymbal. really good and great to listen to a whole bunch

as i said last night, this

as i said last night, this one's a stormer. it would sweep the dancefloor away on a proper sounsystem. reall good, clean, crispy sound, tho i must complain (ain't i a stinker) about something.

some really low bass is badly needed to make this one an apocalyptic sound. some 80 hz bizness. that really thick, barely audible sub. Smiling anyway, the beats should punch more. could easily be thicker, bigger. i need to feel every kick drum drops me on the top of my head and every snare hits me over the face. Smiling pretty vivid description huh? lol

Love the way this song just

Love the way this song just picks up.  The way the bass gurgles right from the start makes you wanna hop up.  The synth sounds mean and gritty and is used well.  Like how the transition of energy is brought about by bringing in a ride hi-hat and then cutting the ride hi hat out later.  I like the blunt bass hit synth used during the breakdown.  After the build up there's a trancey synth I would like to here a little bit better.  It's almost inaudible.  Also, you can't really get a good grip on any synths right after the breakdown.  The beat is almost all you hear.  It's almost like that for the rest of the track.  I would like the synths to be more in your face right after the breakdown, because from what I hear they're doing, they sound sick, just can't get a grip on them.
Cool beats that just get into your head and make you groove, good synths (from what you can hear), and an awesome energy all throughout.  Good to use near the beginning of your set after your a few tracks in.  Just turn up those synths after the breakdown, so it's not just beat driven for a while.

nice one, wasnt sure about

nice one, wasnt sure about the intro but the rest of the drums came in... Smiling  nice breakdown too, lots of energy in this track. not much else to say, everything seems to be in the right place.  maybe too much reverb in some places makes it sound a little muddy. but generally v.good. i think it maybe loses some energy near the end, the bass/lead repeats often, but then you just put more filters on as i typed that.. powerful beats, nice neurofunky groove and sounds. the arrangement is the weak point here.. all elements playing at the same time all the time.

Intresting bass above all

Intresting bass above all the edits. Nice intro. Drop is nice and moving. Drums are fine stand out as they should. Bass is wicked really nice. The reecey thingy playing after 1:26 works very well with this track. The drums drown abit at this part of the tune but I think its ok the rest of the elements keep it going nicely. Breakdown is great. Second drop is awesome really phat. Very nice vibe.

37 – Subtitles or

37 – Subtitles or what?  Clear and stylish.  Nice atmospheres and choice of atmospheres.  Well written!  Not quite as crisp as tracks 34-35 but this stuff is more difficult to crisp up because of the lower kind of sound range it occupies (imo).  I reckon you should pay someone in a mastering studio £100 to properly put this through some very expensive outboard and it’d be signed. 8/10

Tight beats, dirty bassline,

Submitted by glitch on Sun, 2005-12-04 18:49.

Tight beats, dirty bassline, catchy melodies, nasty sounds and beats
that really flow and don't overpower the rest of the track.  Sounds so
much louder and harder than some of the other entries, and seems to be
firing on all cylinders.

Criticisms would be that maybe there's just a touch too much going on
at certain points and there's a few sections that would benefit from a
re-jig.

The snare is snappy. I would make that kick bigger tho.

The bass sounds kinda thin.
That lead synth has a working melody, but needs to be cleaner and not nearly as loud in the mix. I might even low pass the synths around 15k to cut down on the grating noise in the hi-end.

I can barely hear the atmosphere in the background (even in the breakdown), but it sounds cool.

The ride sounds good in the 1st drop, it could use a bit of reverb to get it driving more?

Definitely strong dance floor vibes, just clean up the mixdown.
