I have 2 guesses who wrote this, and whoever it is already knows I LOVE it, before they even read my review.

This is the other area of drum n bass that I love at the deepest core of myself.  Nice and "GRRR!!!"  This stuff just relates to me on a personal level, something to do with my inner demons I guess.

Is that Slipknot I hear being sampled?  Yes it is.  Nice.

This is another one I had to go back and listen to a few times, TRYING to find something bad to say.  And for anyone who didn't write this who's reading this review, this is not a case of me rating the track highly for it's style.  If you listen to it objectively, it's all there:

The drums are crisp, I can hear the kick thump and click, I can hear the snare thud and thwack.  The atmosphere is lush.  The bassline has proper sub, mid, and high.  The arrangement is solid, stays interesting throughout, but still maintains a groove.  This tune manages to find a niche without being over the top, and whilst maintaining a voice of it's own.

It's got everything a reviewer could want.

Start shopping this to labels.  Send it to all the regular big name djs for this sound.  It's a smasher.

10.  no question.  I wish my angry shit was this good.

*edit* okay, tonight I had a chance to mix this tune with some other stuff, (on better speakers) and on those speakers it became clear that the tune is actually lacking sub bass.  even when I turned the bass up on the mixer, it just kinda made the drums bassier.  I'm not sure what the deal is there.  My initial instinct was to take points away, not much, I'd still give it a 9, but then I thought again, and decided that I judged all the tracks against each other on the same set of speakers, and should not dock you points when maybe my thoughts about all the others would change as well if I were to try to mix them/play them on better speakers...  Sorry for the ramble, but yeah, work on that sub, otherwise, SICK.

This might be the winner

This might be the winner track for me, really pro sounding production. Lots of things going on in this tune, everything sounds really crisp. I love that i dont want to die sample. Theres really nothing esle to say, this track wins it for me.

track 219 - Necrophobia
From the dark vibe and name, I'd hazard a guess at our quickly rising star Ruffian.  Some eeevil sounds being hinted at in the intro.  American metal-dnb vibe going on, including metal samples.  Some good choices for samples I especially the scream.  And that snare is meaty as hell.  Ultimately for me, this track has a great mix, but lacks progression because it focuses too much on the same riff/loop.

Mmm, nice big huge thick

Mmm, nice big huge thick chunk of darkness.

Haha, I remember listening to this quite a few times when biking up a huge fuck off hill to a mates place...It's well good motivational shit Eye-wink

Everything about this track is just nasty. Dark and nasty. The triplet-break (as I like to call it?!) is wkd, the individual hits still punchy enough to match that hugely satanic, growling bassline. The breakdown just makes the whole track even more tense that it already was - everything works so well.

Strong contender for the win, IMO.

Spooky intro, good stuff.

Spooky intro, good stuff.  Like the atmos.  That high pitched sound is wicked.
Proper dark when it drops, good gnarly bassline.  I like the melody with the high pitched sound, can't think what its called!  Got some nice edits.
Production is good as well, nicely mixed.
Quality darkside vibes.

fuck, this is dark, and

fuck, this is dark, and quite glitchy (in a good way) although it sounds like the mini break is quite over compressed, love that squeel sound in the back ground..... incoming (lol that laugh is heavy) damn this is darkness!!! bit too dark for my liking but well produced although it could be meatier...i reckon i know who this is...my rival >:( (lol just kidding ) muhahahahahah Sticking out tongue sounding good though but needs more low end dont be affraid of teh bass... OWN IT!!! heavy tune m8 big up defo one of my faves!!!

overall sounds very nice n crisp, just needs more low end which is the difference between a finished track and an almost finished track...

btw what happened to our collab lol Sticking out tongue ???

Good atmospheres.. nice use

Good atmospheres.. nice use of the amen.  Thought beats in general could be heavier, but I really like the tone of the beats.. metallic.  Like the horror drop… good after the drop.  Good energy and ideas.. would benefit from some better engineering on the mid-basslines and the beats.  Not too sure about the stabs that start at 2:15….  Snare is nice.  So yeah… good vibe, nice and hard.. just needs a few frequencies adjusted here and there (beats and mids) and you’re sorted! I think I would by this.

Nice intro, fx/pads/synths

Nice intro, fx/pads/synths all nice, voc samp is heavy. Not too keen on them intro drums, just the pattern of em I think. Im not into the drum patterns as a whole really, but thats coz I dont like proper neuro style drums, bear kicks. Good tune not by bag though.
