nice zone out type thing going on in this one, like the voice samples. You play this and track 122 back to back and you got the begining of a hot mix cd. Good drums and back round.

good production on this one

good production on this one from the very start.
lots of power in this one! nice work.
not my fav. genre of dnb but it fits the mould well, drums are sounding great. the bassline could do with some separation from the drums, it sounds like it is getting lost in the mix.

the pitching up of the break gets repetitive after a while, maybe not do it so often. i do like how near the end youre putting some reverb on them. huuuugee!

136 - Another dark amen roller.  Damn, that woman screaming had me looking out the window in panic, lol.  Thought someone was getting murdered in the street.  Evil vibe man.  The amens and bassline do get a bit samey after a while, but there are some good ideas well presented in this.  Some slight distortion on the mix.

I like the rising amens.. but also if you can do that, you should do more variations and edits with the beats.  The vocal samples are quite spooky, and you could heighten that with some more pads and melody.

I'm not sure, but I think

I'm not sure, but I think this sounds like it's been overmaximized or over compressed..  Very little dynamics happening, and at times the bassline just sounds like a blur of un-intelligable FUZZ....

I like the drum work, but the drums too sound pretty distorted, and not distorted in the good way..

I'm having trouble getting past this, because it makes it very difficult to isolate the various elements of the track here..

The 2nd breakdown is kinda interesting..

I almost feel like I have to hold off on properly judging this track, I wish I could hear a version that isn't peaking all over the place, cause it sounds like there might be some really cool shit in there that I can't hear the way it is...

the overall run of the track is decent, but still could have been formatted better, and I can't tell exactly if you just have severe mix issues in the track or if you tried to cram too many elements together.

Arrangement = 3
Mixdown = ....This is being friendly, believe it or not, but 1.5
Total Score = 4.5  sorry man.  Most of your points are for the drum edits and the general idea of the track, but it definately got lost in execution.

The track sounds like it

Submitted by DJ Shiver on Tue, 2006-07-11 21:42.

The track sounds like it qwas clipping severely cos there's loads of distortion on it which makes the track quite hard to listen to and hard to judge the rest of. The drums seemed too loud and the vocal sample used in the break sounded like it was a bit fucked (maybe dust on the record it was taken from). Sorry to be so negative but this definitely needs another mixdown. The actual tune sounds promising though, it just made my ears feel like they were breaking.

meh mixing, meh break edits,

meh mixing, meh break edits, meh bass....
very repetetive.

sorry, not for me.

Perhaps with proper mixdown though it could be a proper rinse out.
