#195 Really well produced tune this is in every aspect.  Reminds me a little of Teebee.  That oriental / mid eastern flute or horn stuff is dope, goes well with everything.  Nice reesy sounds as well. Crsip beats, like the bells.
Can't really fault this tune, mixdown, arrangement, selection and vibes are wicked.

195 Noctuary - Welcome

195 Noctuary - Welcome newbie Eye-wink Remember to remove your mp3 tags next time.  I can definately hear a Noisia influence in this with the silky atmopsheres and the growling synth, which I love.  The ethnic sounds also add a classy touch and musicality that takes it from the dancefloor into serious armchair territory (not a bad thing...I think there is room in dnb for this).  The mix is the best so far (out of 5 tracks) but the hats are too loud and crisp, reaching that 'spoon tapping a china bowl'-type of sound, which can be a bit fatiguing over long periods of time.  Also they sound a tad robotic...I think you need less velocity on the off-beat/ghosts for mix perfection.  The track is also slightly too long for the content with the really tasty-sounding growl riff getting slightly samey during the middle of the track.

Pure poetry . Dark vibes

Pure poetry Eye-wink. Dark vibes with top notch production. Reminds me abit of older teebee choons. Hard to say really anything constructive, keep doing it like this and i'm pretty sure we'll see your choons on vinyl on future Smiling 9.2

195 - Very well produced.

195 - Very well produced. The reese has a very unique sound. Love the layering on it (ie sonically split between bass and grime). It's subtle but makes for some good modifications on the sounds. Reminds me of Symbiant's work. Well produced. The reverb is used well without muddying the mix. Fantastically epic. This track is up there as a potential winner in my eyes. Excellent production all around.

ID3 info left in by mistake here Smiling 'Nothingness and Eternity' by Noctuary, from 2005.
Nice crisp intro, good sound selection/variety... kind of a tribal feel. Mixdown sounds pretty pro sofar, no doubt. I feel potential here... Ah yes, nice hard-hitting break. Although the 16th hats at 1:27 may be a bit too loud? I like the vibe on this one for sure, dark and moody. I would like to hear more beat-choppage, I think that would give the whole track more energy and 'roll', but you could say that's just my personal style preference I guess. Overall this is a very nice track, no doubt. I'd prolly spin it out if it were a 320.

The title goes really well

The title goes really well with the tune. Can't help missing some sort of lead in this, like a massive bassline or melodie, it all kinda stays in the background. But its a great soundscape u managed to produce here, almost like a movie.

ah, this intro sounds very

ah, this intro sounds very professional.
deep dude! cool sounds, the flutes are great.
drumlayers fit very well, theyre rollin! but the 16s hat is too sharp i think.
the titel storyteller fits quite good. could be a soundtrack for an oriental night shot over dubai hehe Eye-wink
not very varied, but this one hasnt to be.
n1!

i love the epic intro, very nice on the verb and percussion effects. also love the modal sound w/ the panflute or whatever that sound is, very sort of arabic or indian feel.  yeah, there is a tremendous amount of stuff going on here, and the mix is done properly. the bass is peeking its head thru, and there's the drop.  this break could be a bit stronger.  ooh, not sure about those hats in the mix, they're a little distracting. sound like they're programmed well enough, just pull them back from the forefront of the mix a bit i reckon.  sub could use a bit of a boost, but that's really a subjective kind of observation.  reminds me of a break tune in a way. intro, 1st breakdown, and outro all done very nicely, each is loaded with well-executed atmospherics. this would be a great tune in the mix.

Very nice intro....very cool

nice...abit borin after a while to be honest...most likely the problem there is NOT ENOUGH BASS...turn up the lows on the the b-line so that the kick drum is almost inaudible when it drops, that way the listener is moved by the bass not the kick drum.  I really like the waspy synth on the bass though.  what is it, iv been searchin for that for ever? :s
