Quite enjoyed this one alot.. IMHO I've enjoyed all the tracks so far, it's a tough comp. Ok back to the track, really dig how clean it sounds! Great vibe, could see myself bopping away to this on the dance floor with out a doubt. Some great work. I like the breaks in theSubmitted by DARK GENIUS on Wed, 2007-08-01 15:42.
I like the breaks in the drum beat, the sax is great and the choice of instruments is spot on. Its funny, this is supposed to be annoymous but its obvious who it is! 232 - From the start this has Bluntman written all over it with that jazzy vibe. Good ideas but I think it need to progress more throughout the course of the track. The beats also seem a little dry for the chilled style. Rhodes...Mmmmm.Submitted by Noctuary on Sat, 2007-08-11 13:39.
Rhodes...Mmmmm. Sax....Mmmmm. I'm loving these vibes. Think the beat is a bit too overpowering, esp. that snare. The amen interlude is slightly out-of-time...needs to be stretched to the bar properly. This is another track that I'm not too sure what to say about...It's just a damn good vibe (snare volume aside!), and easily grooves...I like The smooth sounds ofSubmitted by Essence on Tue, 2007-07-31 21:00.
The smooth sounds of Bluntman !! ;p Like the clear sax and sharp keys to start with. A sweet intro and then a nice rolling bass line to back it up with. I think the vocal samples of Bluntman would be better replaced with a soulful sounding female vocal personally. Nice rolling lyrics or Obscure jazzy singing is what this needs Respect to you Bluntman for continued progression anyways!! This track is sweet and also reminds me EZROLLERS style...laid back yet still driven and ROLLING Percussion/Instruments sounding really sweet and live btw... Neat work - look forward to hearing nay vocal mixes you do of this ;P Peace. Jazz.... HEAVY BEATSSubmitted by King_Louis on Thu, 2007-08-09 21:52.
Jazz.... HEAVY BEATS JAZZ! Maybe too heavy for the style? Beats were just about holding it together frequency wise... and in a tune like this, I reckon you wanted them a bit more silky. Compositionally a nice tune. Amen was a little unnecessary IMO. So yeah, nice and smooth, but I'd ease up on some of that processing on the beats and ditch the amen. |
